Job Description

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for Estimating , budgeting ,managing and overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of interior fit-out projects. This role requires an individual with a strong background in MEP engineering, particularly within the interior fit-out industry. The MEP Engineer will ensure that all MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained to meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

Develop and implement MEP project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with the overall project design and schedule. Monitor and control project progress, ensuring that milestones are met on time and within budget.

Design and Engineering:

Prepare, review, and approve MEP designs, drawings, and specifications. Conduct detailed engineering analysis and calculations to ensure the feasibility and reliability of MEP systems. Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems.

Construction and Installation:

Supervise and inspect the installation of MEP systems to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment. Resolve any technical issues or discrepancies that arise during the construction phase.

Quality Assurance and Control:

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all MEP systems meet the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and rectify any issues or non-compliances. Prepare and submit detailed reports on the status and quality of MEP installations.

Testing and Commissioning:

Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure their proper functionality and performance. Prepare and review test reports, commissioning documentation, and as-built drawings.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Provide technical support and guidance for the maintenance and troubleshooting of MEP systems. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of MEP systems.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle. Address client concerns and provide regular updates on project progress and any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Engineer, with a focus on interior fit-out projects. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems. Proficient in using engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM). Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
