Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a

MEP

Project Engineer

for our Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and ensuring the design integrity and compliance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across interior fit-out projects. The role focuses on

design review, technical coordination, compliance verification, and consultancy support

, rather than site execution or installation.

Review and assess MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for compliance with design intent, local codes, and project requirements.

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure proper integration of MEP services within the fit-out design.

Provide technical guidance during design development, tendering, and construction phases.

Conduct design audits and prepare technical reports on MEP systems' adequacy and compliance.

Review material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation submitted by contractors.

Attend design coordination meetings and provide technical input to resolve MEP-related design conflicts.

Perform site inspections to verify that MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and standards.

Support project managers in evaluating contractor proposals, variations, and progress claims related to MEP works.

Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA, DM, Civil Defense, etc.) and assist in approval coordination.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sustainable building systems and energy-efficient MEP solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).

Minimum

5-8 years of experience

, with at least

3 years in a consultancy environment

specializing in interior fit-out projects.

Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, fire-fighting, plumbing, and ELV systems.

Sound knowledge of local authority standards and approval procedures (DEWA, DCD, DM, DDA, Trakhees etc.).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), and design analysis software.

Excellent report writing and technical review skills.

Strong communication and coordination abilities.
