Review MEP design drawings, IFC drawings, and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with design consultants, architects, and interior designers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with fit-out works.
Plan and schedule MEP works according to the project timeline and milestones.
Conduct site surveys to verify existing conditions before commencing fit-out works.
2. Site Supervision & Execution
Supervise the installation of mechanical (HVAC), electrical (power, lighting, ELV), and plumbing systems during the fit-out phase.
Ensure all MEP works are executed per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Identify and resolve technical or coordination issues on-site promptly.
3. Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and standards (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, DCD, etc.).
Enforce health and safety standards on-site for all MEP activities.
Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the proper functioning and installation of systems.
Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for MEP activities.
Maintain accurate records of materials, work progress, and technical submissions.
Review and approve materials and shop drawings in coordination with consultants.
Support project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
5. Communication & Collaboration
Liaise with main contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve MEP-related issues.
Attend site meetings and coordination sessions.
Coordinate with procurement for timely material delivery and resource allocation.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in MEP works, with at least 2 years in interior fit-out projects (commercial, retail, or hospitality preferred).
Proven experience in fast-track fit-out environments.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, and ELV systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and MS Office.
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, local authority guidelines).
