Reporting To: MEP Manager / Project Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a technically sound and detail-oriented MEP Engineer with a strong background in high-rise residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in managing all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) activities at site and coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
The MEP Engineer will play a key role in ensuring timely execution, quality control, and compliance with authority regulations while supporting the MEP Manager and site management team.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, ELV systems) at the project site.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and ensure proper implementation on-site as per approved designs.
• Identify technical issues, clashes, and propose timely solutions during execution.
• Ensure that all MEP works comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, and other local authority standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend site coordination meetings and contribute to technical discussions.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and ensure adherence to schedule and quality benchmarks.
• Support the QA/QC team in inspections and testing of MEP systems.
• Prepare method statements, material submittals, technical documentation, and shop drawings.
• Participate in commissioning and handover of MEP systems and ensure proper documentation.
• Report progress, risks, and resource requirements to the MEP Manager and Project Manager regularly.

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Familiarity with local authority standards: DEWA, DM, DCD, Etisalat, etc.
• Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate multi-disciplinary drawings.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving on-site MEP issues.
• Excellent coordination skills across multiple trades and teams.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MEP-related software tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage timelines efficiently.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Membership with the Society of Engineers - UAE preferred.
• Certification or training in MEP coordination, safety, or project management is an advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE on high-rise building projects.
