The MEP Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in building projects. They ensure systems meet project requirements, local regulations, safety standards, and are completed within budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise installation and testing of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
Review MEP drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ to ensure compliance with design requirements.
Attend project meetings and coordinate with architects, civil engineers, consultants, and contractors.
Evaluate and approve materials and equipment used in MEP systems.
Monitor MEP work progress, quality control, and safety standards on site.
Ensure timely resolution of design conflicts and technical issues on site.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports related to MEP works.
Assist in procurement processes for MEP-related materials and subcontractors.
Conduct inspections and commissioning of MEP systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering in the construction industry (GCC experience preferred).
Strong understanding of local regulations, DEWA, Civil Defense, and authority approvals.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other engineering software.
Familiar with project management and site coordination.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi is an advantage.
