Job Description
ob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to join our team. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of MEP systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout MEP systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems, according to project specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and calculations using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure the integration and coordination of MEP systems within the overall building design.
- Evaluate and select appropriate MEP equipment, materials, and suppliers to meet project requirements and specifications.
- Prepare and review project cost estimates, budgets, and timelines related to MEP systems.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct on-site inspections and audits to verify the proper functioning and maintenance of MEP systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MEP system issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies related to MEP systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional engineering license/certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in MEP engineering, preferably in construction projects.
- Proficiency in using CAD software for MEP design and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency and sustainability principles in MEP design.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety in MEP systems
