Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Design & Engineering

Develop detailed MEP designs, layouts, calculations, and technical drawings. Conduct load calculations, equipment sizing, and system modeling (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing). Ensure designs comply with local building codes, standards, and project requirements. Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material proposals.
2. Project Management & Coordination

Coordinate with architects, civil/structural teams, and contractors to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems. Attend coordination meetings, resolve design conflicts, and manage on-site technical issues. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems. Monitor project progress, timelines, and quality of work.
3. Compliance & Quality Assurance

Implement quality control procedures for MEP works. Ensure safety regulations and industry standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, etc.) are followed. Conduct site inspections, system performance checks, and audits.
4. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare technical reports, BOQs, specifications, and project documentation. Maintain accurate records of design changes, approvals, and project correspondence.
Qualification & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, or related engineering discipline. Professional certifications (LEED, PMP, PE, etc.) are a plus. 2-10+ years of experience in MEP design, consultancy, or construction (depending on seniority level).
