Job Description

Job Summary:

The MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, installation, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for construction projects. The role ensures that all MEP works are executed as per design, safety standards, and project requirements while maintaining cost and time efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, design, and oversee the installation of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting). Review MEP drawings, technical specifications, and project documents for accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration of MEP systems. Supervise MEP subcontractors and ensure work is carried out as per approved plans and schedules. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards. Prepare material submittals, method statements, and work progress reports. Manage testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems. Identify and resolve design or execution conflicts during construction. Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource requirements related to MEP works. Stay updated with new technologies, materials, and best practices in MEP systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP design, installation, or project execution (preferably in UAE). Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office. Excellent understanding of local codes and international standards (ASHRAE, DEWA, ADDC, etc.). Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Valid UAE driving license (preferred).

Working Conditions:

Site and office-based role depending on project requirements. May require extended hours during project deadlines or inspections.
