MEP Engineer

We are seeking an experienced

MEP Engineer

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in projects governed by

TAQA

or

Transco

standards. You will ensure all MEP work is compliant with local authority regulations, project specifications, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design, review, and approve MEP drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and material submittals. Coordinate with architectural, structural, civil disciplines and all subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems. Inspect and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, ELV etc. Ensure compliance with

Transco / TAQA

technical standards, authority regulations, and safety codes. Review and prepare method statements, risk assessments, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and QA/QC documentation. Provide technical support in project execution; resolve issues on site; participate in commissioning and handover activities. Liaise with local authorities (e.g. Transco, TAQA), get approvals, manage inspections & permits. Monitor project schedules, manage resources, track progress, and report to project management. Maintain consistent quality control and ensure safety, health, and environment (HSE) standards are strictly adhered to.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

in MEP engineering, with hands-on experience in TAQA or Transco projects. Solid understanding of UAE local authority standards & regulations, especially those used by Transco / TAQA. Experience with design and construction of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical power, plumbing, fire protection, ELV / control systems etc. Proven track record in testing & commissioning of MEP systems. Strong technical skills--drafting & reviewing drawings, BOQs, computations. Excellent communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus). Good at problem-solving under pressure; able to adapt to changing site conditions. Experience with HSE practices; knowledge of safety regulations. Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, scheduling tools).
