Job Description

The MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings and plans based on project specifications and engineering guidelines. They collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all MEP design documentation for construction and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed MEP drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP engineering drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with project engineers, architects, and contractors to incorporate design changes.
Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, safety codes, and client requirements.
Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and quantity estimates.
Keep track of project deadlines and deliver drawings within the specified timeframes.
Perform site visits and inspections as required to verify drawings and resolve design issues.
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of all drawings and revisions.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Drafting Technology.
Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman or similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
Knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and standards.
Strong understanding of construction processes and project workflows.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
