MEP Draftsman
Job Title: MEP Draftsman
Department: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)
Reports To: MEP Coordinator / Senior Engineer
Location: UAE
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years in the UAE
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented MEP Draftsman to produce detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of AutoCAD and a solid understanding of MEP coordination principles.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers to convert design sketches and specifications into technical drawings.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and comply with company standards, project requirements, and local regulations.
• Incorporate red-line markups from site engineers and consultants into final drawing revisions.
• Assist in the preparation of material schedules and BOQs from the drawings.
• Maintain and organize the drawing registry and ensure all revisions are properly documented.
• Collaborate with the design and site teams to resolve clashes and conflicts between different services (MEP vs. Structural/Architectural).

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Drafting.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in the UAE.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of Revit MEP or BIM is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, symbols, and drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
