Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented

MEP Document Controller

to manage the documentation process for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) works within interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for handling technical documents, ensuring proper version control, and coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and control all incoming and outgoing MEP-related documentation (drawings, submittals, RFIs, method statements, material approvals, etc.). Ensure documents are properly numbered, archived, and easily retrievable. Maintain up-to-date logs for drawings and technical submissions. Coordinate with MEP engineers, draftsmen, site teams, and consultants to track submission statuses. Review documents for completeness, formatting, and compliance with project standards. Prepare and maintain trackers for authority submissions (e.g., DEWA, DM, DCD, etc.). Distribute approved documents to relevant departments and ensure proper acknowledgment. Control document versions and ensure only the latest revisions are in circulation.

Requirements:

Diploma in Engineering, Administration, or relevant field. Minimum

3-5 years

of experience in a

document control role

, preferably within MEP or interior fit-out companies. Strong knowledge of MEP documentation and terminology. Proficient in

MS Office

,

AutoCAD (basic reading)

,

Adobe Acrobat

, and

document control software

(e.g., Aconex, Procore, or similar). Familiar with ISO document control procedures and project documentation standards. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred:

UAE/GCC experience with authority submissions (DEWA, DM, SEWA, DCD, etc.). Knowledge of construction project lifecycles and documentation flow. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
