Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

The MEP Design Engineer is responsible for the

design, coordination, and development of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems

for projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, applicable codes, and authority regulations. The role focuses on

concept, detailed design, and coordination support

throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

concept, schematic, and detailed MEP designs

in line with project requirements Develop and review

MEP drawings, layouts, calculations, and specifications

Coordinate MEP designs with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines Ensure compliance with local authority codes, standards, and regulations Conduct design reviews and value engineering exercises to optimize cost and efficiency Prepare design reports, load calculations, and equipment sizing Support authority submissions and approvals Assist in preparing tender documents, BOQs, and technical specifications Review shop drawings and material submittals for design compliance

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related discipline) Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in MEP design (consultancy or design office) Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems Experience with authority submissions and approvals is preferred

Technical Skills

Proficiency in

AutoCAD

(Revit MEP preferred) Strong understanding of design standards and codes Ability to perform engineering calculations and design analysis
