Job Overview
The MEP BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating and managing accurate 3D models of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) using BIM software. The role includes model coordination, clash detection, and data maintenance to support project delivery and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update 3D BIM models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD MEP
- Coordinate MEP models with architectural, structural, and other design disciplines to ensure spatial and technical alignment
- Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and propose solutions for identified issues
- Maintain all MEP model information, including technical specifications, material details, and revisions
- Collaborate with project engineers and designers to integrate system requirements into BIM workflows
- Ensure compliance with BIM execution plans, standards, and project-specific protocols
- Support design changes and project updates through proper file versioning and documentation
- Assist in delivering accurate and coordinated models for construction and facility management use
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BIM Modeler in MEP design
- Prior work on residential and commercial building projects in the UAE or GCC preferred
Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and building design coordination
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple model updates
- Familiarity with BIM standards, modeling best practices, and data integration
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional design teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
