Responsible for verbal and written translations as and when required, including but not limited to the reason for a medical visit, past medical history, family medical history, explaining medical and surgical procedures, giving medical care instructions, providing drug information, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
Assist Physicians with medical translations during various scenarios, such as patient consultations, inpatient ward visits, appointments with visiting doctors, and others as requested.
Attend scheduled and unscheduled patient appointments requiring translation services as and when requested.
Translate information into the patient's native language in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
Translate only what the doctor is instructing and never offer personal medical opinions or diagnoses.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Provide excellent customer service to all patients and their families.
Complete daily translation logs and reports as instructed by the direct supervisor.
Perform other duties as required by business operational needs.

Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, and cooperate with hospital management in ensuring compliance.
Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures and instructions, fulfilling specific responsibilities.
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Report OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and issues; assist with the preparation of risk assessments and incident reports.
Comply with waste management procedures and policies.
Attend applicable OSH/infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness sessions.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety systems.

Qualifications:
Graduate or its equivalent
Preferably 2 years as Medical Translator or 1 year exposure into medical field in a translating role. * Ability to precisely and accurately translate critical medical information from English to the Patient's native language.
