JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role is responsible for providing assistance to Physicians and relevant medical caregivers in related administrative activities including but not limited to transcribing patients' medical reports and dictated notes of Physicians to be stored in the patients' electronic medical records (Cerner) as well as reviewing, editing and developing relevant documentation if and when required.
- Ability to transcribe physician noted and encode in Cerner systems.
- Excellent computer, typing skills, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of medical terminologies.
- Proficient in related medical record digital systems.
- Transcribes patients' medical reports and any notes of Physicians and/or relevant medical caregivers through dictation systems; written and/or live dictation for permanent storage of patient data in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
- Responsible for implementation of retention and destruction policies and procedures for all medical record documentation as necessary.
