Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. The role involves listening to recorded dictations from healthcare professionals and accurately transcribing them into written medical reports, correspondence, and other documentation. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of medical terminology, excellent typing skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information.

Key Responsibilities

Transcribe and edit audio recordings from physicians and other healthcare professionals into accurate medical documents. Review and proofread transcriptions for grammar, clarity, and consistency. Ensure the proper use of medical terminology, abbreviations, and formats. Verify patient information and cross-check data with medical records. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA/UAE healthcare regulations. Meet strict deadlines while ensuring high accuracy. Use transcription software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems efficiently. Identify inconsistencies or errors in reports and clarify with the healthcare provider when necessary. Maintain organized records of completed reports and files.

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or in a related healthcare documentation role. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and healthcare procedures. Excellent listening and typing skills (high typing speed with accuracy). Proficiency with transcription software, word processing tools, and EMR systems. Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. High attention to detail and accuracy. Confidentiality and professional integrity in handling patient information. Diploma or certification in Medical Transcription or relevant healthcare training (preferred).
