We are looking for a highly organized Medical Procurement & Inventory Management Officer to manage our medical stores and supply chain operations at Dr Safeenas Wellness Clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, tracking, and controlling medical consumables, equipment, and supplies across all departments in the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure best pricing, quality, and delivery terms
- ?Maintain a database of approved vendors, quotations, contracts, and pricing updates
- ?Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
- ?Coordinate with the Accounts/Finance department to ensure vendor payments are processed on time as per agreed terms and credit durations
- ?Maintain strong vendor relationships and address supply issues proactively
Inventory & Stock Management
- Oversee daily stock control for consumables, medicines, and treatment products
- ?Record stock arrivals and inspect for quantity, expiry dates, and product condition
- ?Maintain accurate inventory levels on the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS)
- ?Monitor stock depletion and initiate timely reorders based on par levels and department demands
- ?Conduct periodic stock audits, investigate variances, and prevent wastage and misuse
Distribution & Consumption Reporting
- Issue consumables to departments with documented handover
- ?Generate and verify daily consumption reports by department, ensuring system accuracy
- ?Track usage patterns and recommend cost-efficient ordering strategies
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure safe storage practices and regulatory compliance
- ?Dispose of expired/damaged stock as per medical waste guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business, Healthcare Management, or similar)
?Minimum 1-3 years experience in medical procurement/storekeeping in a clinic/hospital environment (preferred)
?Excellent knowledge of inventory management systems & Excel
?Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management
?High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and stock records
?Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple medical teams
