About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our clinical pathology team. This role involves performing routine laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, and immunology, as well as supporting equipment validation processes, operating the Laboratory Information System (LIS), and participating in quality management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Routine Laboratory Work
? Perform sample collection, preparation, and analysis across core diagnostic areas:
? Hematology
? Clinical Chemistry
? Urinalysis
? Serology & Immunology
? Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of test results
? Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
? Operate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to:
? Enter and verify patient data and test requests
? Record and release test results
? Maintain data integrity and system logs
Equipment Validation & Maintenance
? Coordinate and document installation, calibration, and validation of new lab instruments ? Liaise with vendors for maintenance schedules and validation protocols
? Maintain validation logs, records, and SOPs related to instrumentation
Quality Management Support
? Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal quality control procedures
? Contribute to document control, proficiency testing, and non-conformance tracking
? Participate in audits, inspections, and accreditation preparation (e.g., CAP, ISO 15189) Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
? Valid DHA license
? Minimum 2 years of experience in a routine clinical laboratory setting
? Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
? Experience in equipment validation and basic quality management
? Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance
? Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
