Deliver training sessions on Medical Coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) through theory and practical classes.
Teach students medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, healthcare documentation, and coding guidelines.
Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, quizzes, and hands-on coding exercises.
Train learners to code real-world clinical cases and medical records accurately.
Guide students in exam preparation for certification exams (AAPC, AHIMA, AMCA, etc.).
Assess student performance, maintain training records, and provide continuous feedback.
Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines, payer rules, and compliance standards.
Maintain a professional learning environment and ensure high-quality training delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Medical, Nursing, Biomedical, Allied Health, or related field.
Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, CIC, CPB, or equivalent preferred).
Experience in medical coding, auditing, or healthcare documentation.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and claim processes.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with billing software and EHR systems.
Knowledge of insurance, revenue cycle, and claim submission.
Ability to handle practical case studies and exam prep sessions.
