Mechanical Technician (Food Industry)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician with a specialized background in the Food Industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of our food processing machinery through expert troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards of production quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical failures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Disassemble, adjust, and reassemble machinery components such as gears, bearings, chains, conveyors, and seals.
• Read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, GMP) during all maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the production team to schedule repairs and minimize impact on production lines.
• Identify and requisition necessary spare parts and tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new food processing equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all work performed.
• Proactively identify opportunities for machine improvements and efficiency gains.

Candidate Requirements

• Availability: Must be currently available in the UAE and able to join immediately.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, specifically within the Food Manufacturing or Processing industry.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of repairing and troubleshooting food industry machines (e.g., mixers, ovens, conveyors, fillers, sealers, packaging machines).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and power transmission.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• High level of integrity and reliability.
