Conduct quality control inspections, reviews, and testing for mechanical systems (HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, chilled water, etc.).
Develop and implement QA/QC procedures aligned with project requirements and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Review mechanical drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and material approvals.
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DM, DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense, etc.).
Interface with contractors, consultants, and clients for QA/QC coordination and inspections.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and reports.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers and site teams.
Technical Capabilities Required:
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems required
, including HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing.
Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, CIBSE, and UAE-specific codes and standards.
Experience with testing, commissioning, and balancing (TAB) of mechanical systems.
Experience with the installation and testing & commissioning of main hotel kitchen systems and equipment, including cold storage rooms, kitchen extract systems, and LPG systems is a major plus.
Proficient in reviewing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.
Excellent understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
Ability to lead QA/QC efforts in a team and independently.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
, with at least
2 years in the UAE
Qualifications Preferred:
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE - ASQ or equivalent).
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
UAE Society of Engineers Membership.
DEWA/ADDC/DM/DCD approvals (advantageous).
