We are seeking a hands-on

Mechanical Supervisor

with proven expertise in ship repair and maintenance. The ideal candidate will oversee mechanical works onboard vessels, manage repair teams, and ensure timely execution of dry-docking and afloat repair projects. This role demands strong technical acumen, leadership, and a deep understanding of marine systems and dockyard operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise mechanical repair and maintenance of shipboard systems: engines, pumps, valves, piping, and HVAC Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and classification societies during inspections and repair cycles Allocate tasks to technicians and monitor progress, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications for repair planning Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions Maintain accurate records of work orders, material usage, and manpower deployment Ensure compliance with dockyard safety protocols and environmental regulations Liaise with vendors and contractors for outsourced mechanical jobs
Qualifications & Experience

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering 5-8 years of experience in ship repair, dry-docking, or marine maintenance Strong knowledge of marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and hydraulic systems Familiarity with classification standards (ABS, DNV, IRS, etc.) Experience in managing repair teams in dockyard or offshore environments Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP tools

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
