The Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of construction projects at the job site. This includes the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other utilities. The engineer ensures that work is completed according to design specifications, project schedules, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and inspect installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other disciplines on site.
Review mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
Monitor daily site activities and ensure smooth progress of mechanical work.
Conduct quality control and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
Resolve technical issues and provide solutions on-site.
Prepare site reports, progress reports, and documentation.
Assist in commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
Ensure materials and equipment are available as per schedule.
Collaborate with design engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements.
