Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, specifically within HVAC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the on-site execution of mechanical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will serve as the technical liaison between the design team, site workforce, and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation charts for mechanical works (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting).
• Technical Expertise: Review and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications (e.g., P&IDs, ductwork layouts, pipe routing). Resolve technical queries and propose value engineering solutions when appropriate.
• Site Management: Supervise and direct foremen, technicians, and fitters on site. Ensure all mechanical installations adhere to design specifications, approved materials, and relevant codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC, etc.).
• Quality Control & Inspection: Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures. Conduct regular site inspections, oversee material inspections, and ensure all work is tested and commissioned as per project requirements.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress against milestones. Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports, RFIs (Requests for Information), and method statements to the Project Manager.
• Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors. Professionally address technical concerns and provide project updates.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Champion a zero-accident culture. Enforce all company and site-specific HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure all work is performed safely.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4-5 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer, preferably with an MEP contractor on large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems (Chilled Water, DX, VRF), piping systems, and air distribution (ductwork).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction and mechanical drawings.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
