The Mechanical Supervisor Team

We currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Junior Supervisor to join us at our site in Oman; this role will be Open Ended. As a Mechanical Junior Supervisor, you will control and supervise assigned personnel and resources within the Mechanical trade at Forward Maintenance and provide consolidation training to assigned RAFO personnel in support of Line and Base maintenance activities for Typhoon operations.

What you'll be doing:

· Control and supervision of all engineering and maintenance activities within his relevant trade law Pt 145 regulations and procedures. · Submission of system related Technical Enquiries as and when required. · Ensuring good husbandry practices are implemented. · Undertaking the responsibilities of Mechanical Senior Supervisor in his absence. · Assess and authorise RAFO and BAES technicians to check competency on the Typhoon Aircraft · Supervise and assist external contractors or BAE systems external employees, such as Rolls Royce, Leonardo. · Provide on the job training aligned to the role training specification to RAFO candidate. Including Mentoring of RAFO Personnel on a one to one basis. Compiling evidence for Subordinates to develop and complete OJT. Completing Logbooks and evaluating tasks carried out by RAFO candidates in order to achieve 1st and 2nd sig.

Your skills and experiences Essential:

· Experience of working as a Junior Supervisor on Mechanical Systems on military aircraft either within a civilian or military role · Significant experience in an aeronautical engineering discipline, aerospace environment (must be dual trade Airframe and Engine) · Considerable aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge · Typhoon Mechanical fast jet Q course

Desirable:

· Experience of supervising maintenance activities ideally within a Pt 145 regulatory · Experience working in the Middle East would be an advantage · Experience of working within an EASA Part 145 environment is desirable · Engine ground running experience would be beneficial
