Job Description

We are seeking an experienced mechanical inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating mechanical equipment and systems to ensure their safety, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect mechanical equipment and systems to identify potential malfunctions, defects, or safety hazards. Conduct tests and measurements to evaluate the performance, durability, and efficiency of mechanical components. Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, test results, and recommendations for repairs or improvements. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other professionals to troubleshoot technical issues related to mechanical systems. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Attend training sessions and seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in mechanical inspection and testing. Conduct mechanical inspections on machinery and equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety regulations Perform troubleshooting and diagnose mechanical problems Interpret technical drawings and schematics Create inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections Communicate findings and recommendations to management and maintenance teams Provide recommendations for improving equipment performance and safety
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. At least five years of experience in mechanical inspection, testing, or quality control. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Experience with relevant testing equipment and tools, such as micrometers, gauges, and spectrometers. Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ASME, ASTM, and ISO. Professional certification, such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), is a plus.
