Supports pipe welders by preparing materials, holding and positioning pipes, and performing basic mechanical tasks to ensure smooth welding operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in lifting, holding, and positioning pipes for alignment before welding
Clean, grind, and prepare pipe surfaces for welding
Measure and cut pipes to required lengths using hand tools or cutting machines
Apply markings or guides for welders to follow
Support in fitting flanges, elbows, valves, and other pipe fittings
Hold clamps, jigs, or supports during welding to maintain correct alignment
Supply welders with tools, materials, and safety equipment as needed
Clean work area, tools, and equipment after completion of tasks
Follow safety guidelines for handling pipes, welding equipment, and hot work areas
Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of hand tools and pipefitting equipment
Ability to read basic measurements and follow instructions
Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy pipes and equipment
Awareness of welding safety procedures (hot work, PPE usage)
Willingness to learn pipe welding and fitting techniques
Work Environment
On construction sites -LPG pipe installation
Involves working in confined spaces, at heights, and in outdoor conditions
Requires PPE such as helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots
Job Types: Full-time, Fresher
Pay: AED900.00 - AED950.00 per month
