The Mechanical Helper assists skilled mechanics and technicians in performing maintenance, repair, and assembly tasks on machinery, equipment, and vehicles. This role supports mechanical operations by preparing tools, handling materials, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist mechanics and technicians in routine maintenance, repairs, and installations.
Prepare, organize, and hand over tools, equipment, and materials needed for tasks.
Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
Help in dismantling, assembling, and testing machinery or equipment under supervision.
Monitor and report equipment issues or defects to senior mechanics.
Transport and lift mechanical parts or materials safely.
Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Support preventive maintenance and emergency repair activities.
Assist in maintaining records of maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training in mechanical work is an advantage.
Previous experience in mechanical, maintenance, or workshop support roles is a plus.
Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and mechanical systems.
Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy equipment.
Good teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn.
Attention to safety and detail in performing tasks.
