Role summary

We are hiring experienced

Mechanical Fitters

for a large hospital maintenance project in Qatar. You'll work as part of a multi-discipline technical team to maintain, repair and install mechanical systems in a healthcare environment. This posting is written to comply with Indeed and local employment policies.

Key responsibilities

Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment (pumps, valves, piping, fixtures, fittings, support systems). Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and manuals. Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and checklists. Diagnose faults, recommend repairs and replace parts as needed. Assist with commissioning and handover activities. Maintain accurate work records, job cards and safety documentation. Follow site safety, infection control and hospital access procedures at all times. Coordinate with supervisors, other trades and contractors to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
Required qualifications & experience

Minimum

3-year technical diploma/qualification

in Mechanical or a related trade (certificate required).

At least 3 years' experience

in maintenance/service work within the past 3 years. Experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or commercial building maintenance is

highly desirable

. Able to read drawings, use mechanical hand tools and basic diagnostic instruments. Good communication skills and ability to work safely in a regulated environment. Able to pass employer background checks and medical/fit-for-work assessments required for hospital access.
Salary & benefits

Basic salary:

QAR 1,800 - 2,100

(negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications)
