The Data Center Mechanical Facility Engineer will be responsible for Data Center Mechanical Engineering Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting. He is responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Pump, and Generator equipment within the data centre operates at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all Mechanical-related facility operations within a given data centre. Data centre equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. This equipment includes but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, Secondary Pumps, Irrigation pumps and building automation systems. Key Responsibilities: xc2xb7 The primary responsibility of the position is to manage (operationally) the data centre's mechanical (cooling and Plumbing) infrastructure. xc2xb7 Ability to collaborate with the project team to establish new infrastructure equipment standards and operational methods for all the data centres and to ensure that existing standards are implemented. xc2xb7 Hold primary responsibility for the maintenance of data centre mechanical equipment from HVAC to complex piping and plumbing works. xc2xb7 Using industry best practices to ensure proper cooling analysis such as CFD analysis. xc2xb7 Liaise with the Operations Management team, facilities, IT teams, and procurement to ensure that all projects progress smoothly, on schedule, and within budget. xc2xb7 These projects include new installations, operational changes, scheduled maintenance, and equipment upgrades. xc2xb7 Manage contracts related to data centre infrastructure, liaise with legal on contracts, and work directly with contractors to ensure timely completion of all work. xc2xb7 Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies related to cooling, monitoring systems, and floor layout. xc2xb7 Ensure best practices and global standards are in place for the data centre. xc2xb7 Perform daily checks of Mechanical Pumps, HVAC, BMS, VRV, VRF and life safety systems. xc2xb7 Collect and analyze data on various computing systems, maintain historical records, and provide management with statistical analysis as requested. xc2xb7 Monitor and adjust cooling in the data centre using DCIM and BMS to maintain optimal operating and environmental conditions. xc2xb7 Generate job cards & incident management tickets for the Data Center facility. xc2xb7 Work with DCO managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency. xc2xb7 Review DC contract compliance & ensure all SLAs are achieved. xc2xb7 Business interface with DC Management for day-to-day operational requirements. xc2xb7 Assist in recruiting efforts. xc2xb7 Delivery of exceptional customer service and satisfaction. xc2xb7 Maintain, and operate all Mechanical-related systems and associated equipment, building management system. xc2xb7 Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls. xc2xb7 Prepare and submit Monthly reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken. xc2xb7 Comply with all safety procedures and requirements. xc2xb7 Maintain essential stock of spare parts. xc2xb7 Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required xc2xb7 Ability to handle rotation Shifts on Monthly basis xc2xb7 Familiarity with datacenter guidelines and standards especially Tier III design standards and ASME/ASHRAE/NFPA. Skills Required: xc2xb7 Good knowledge of Mechanical systems like (Pumps, Chillers, Hydrant pump System, Irrigation pump Systems) xc2xb7 Basic knowledge of cooling systems (LV and ELV Systems) xc2xb7 Working knowledge of Generators, Chillers, Pumps xc2xb7 Skill in installation, repair and maintenance of all types of Mechanical system equipment's and components.
