Job Description

: Main areas of responsibility for this position consist of supporting the preventive, \xe2\x80\x8ecorrective, troubleshooting, shutdown and major and minor maintenance activities, on \xe2\x80\x8evarious types of mechanical static and rotating plant equipment situated in designated \xe2\x80\x8eplant site areas. The gas processing sites may contain some or all of the following types of \xe2\x80\x8eequipment: Gas Processing Trains having vessels, pipework, valves, pumps, heat \xe2\x80\x8eexchangers, coolers, separators, gas injection compressors, gas and steam turbines, \xe2\x80\x8ecryogenic systems, diesel prime movers, electric motors, power generators, water \xe2\x80\x8etreatment systems, wells, steam generation and aerial coolers. Some sites may also have \xe2\x80\x8erepair workshop facilities, HVAC equipment, heavy lifting equipment, product storage \xe2\x80\x8efacilities and tanker loading facilities and jetties. Contacts for this position would \xe2\x80\x8ecommonly be engineering and supervisory personnel, supervision of assigned \xe2\x80\x8esubordinates, HSE and Operations personnel, materials department staff, plus contractor \xe2\x80\x8eand outside vendor employees. \xe2\x80\x8e
  • To ensure that all the plant and pipelines rotating and static equipment are maintained, \xe2\x80\x8eimproved and/or replaced for optimum plant availability to meet the plant integrity \xe2\x80\x8erequirements.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To plan and coordinate Mechanical Maintenance activities with other departments \xe2\x80\x8eand sections.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and non-scheduled shutdowns \xe2\x80\x8eand recommend problem resolutions.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To ensure effective utilization of the Maximo system in managing Maintenance and \xe2\x80\x8eBreakdown activities.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital, Operating \xe2\x80\x8eand 5 Year Plan budgets, and monitor/control expenditure.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To ensure that all the required material, spares, consumables and tools are of the right \xe2\x80\x8equality and quantity and available on a continuous basis.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and \xe2\x80\x8eguidelines to address the findings.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To enforce the implementation of CLIENT Health, Safety and Environment \xe2\x80\x8eManagement System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all \xe2\x80\x8edivision and department personnel.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To ensure development & implementation of Competency Based Training & \xe2\x80\x8eDevelopment programs, through use of Personal Development Plans (PDP\xe2\x80\x99s) and \xe2\x80\x8eUAE Nationalization directives.\xe2\x80\x8e
  • To ensure all the Maintenance activities are carried out in line with the requirements \xe2\x80\x8eoutlined by the CLIENT PTW system.\xe2\x80\x8e
