Mechanical Engineer

Required Experience:

5-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within construction-related projects. Prior exposure to Public Authority for Works and Housing (PAWH) projects will be considered an asset.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a competent and detail-driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team, contributing to the design, implementation, and oversight of mechanical systems in construction developments. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in mechanical works such as plumbing, firefighting, HVAC, fuel and oil systems, irrigation, and specialized fire protection systems, along with solid knowledge in MEP tendering and project coordination.

Key Duties & Skills:

Mechanical Systems Design & Implementation:

Develop, plan, and supervise the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and irrigation.

Fire Protection Systems:

Design and evaluate specialized fire protection solutions in alignment with project requirements and local codes.

MEP Tendering & Estimation:

Prepare BOQs, technical submissions, and material specifications; support bid assessments and tender documentation.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with electrical, civil, and architectural teams to ensure cohesive project execution.

Site Supervision:

Oversee on-site mechanical works, verify adherence to design and safety standards, and address technical challenges.

Software Proficiency:

Skilled in AutoCAD, Elite Fire, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and Kuwait PAWH standards.

Reporting & Documentation:

Produce technical reports, progress summaries, and maintain organized project records.

Analytical Thinking & Initiative:

Identify technical problems and recommend effective, cost-efficient solutions.

Education & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering -

required

Certifications in MEP or Fire Protection Systems -

advantageous

Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic -

preferred
