Mechanical Engineer - Parsons Corporation - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its infrastructure and utilities projects in Dubai, UAE. This role focuses on site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing and commissioning of mechanical systems for large-scale infrastructure developments. The position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with Dubai authority requirements while delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe mechanical works.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems
Advise the project management team and client on procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment
Attend factory acceptance tests and site tests to support project completion and authority handover
Develop scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for assigned mechanical engineering elements and monitor progress against targets
Identify and document scope changes and support procurement planning and cost control
Coordinate with procurement teams and subcontractors during tendering and execution stages
Manage coordination with interdisciplinary engineering teams and internal technical support groups
Support the project manager in planning, directing, and supervising technical and administrative project functions
Ensure client requirements and project scope are met across all engineering disciplines
Prepare technical reports, site records, and documentation for clients and project management
Review, analyze, and distribute technical and contractual information to project teams
Perform additional duties associated with mechanical engineering and project delivery as required
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
Minimum 10 years of experience in site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing and commissioning for large-scale infrastructure projects
Proven experience in pumping stations, firefighting systems, chilled water networks, and utility infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements including DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and Civil Defense
Proficiency in CAD and standard mechanical engineering software
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
Ability to work under pressure and contribute in a senior or lead engineering capacity
