Mechanical Engineer Job description The job of a Mechanical Engineer is to guide Supervisors and Technicians in various activities such as evaluation of MEP systems specialized in Installation, Testing, Commissioning of Fire Protection Systems, handling AMCs of Fire Protection Systems and check for efficiency and feasibility of new installations. Must have minimum 5 years of Site experience and well knowledge and experience in TRANSCO sites. Duties and responsibilities

• Conducting performance checks of all Mechanical fittings in the place of work and confirming safety
• Planning new Mechanical installations and maintenance of existing ones
• Supervising workers while installation
• Preparing estimates of finances and resources required for new projects
• Ensure quality in accordance to standards of the company
• Documenting various aspects mechanical engineering works
• Reporting to Project Head if discrepancies in safety measures or installation procedures are found and take steps to solve the problem
• Make suggestions and recommend changes in the existing systems to improve efficiency
• Keep track of the finances involved while the project is underway
• Take steps to improve the efficiency of the department
• Allocating responsibilities to teams
• Keeping abreast of happenings in the field of electrical engineering and implement development wherever possible
• Take over the responsibilities of the manager when he is absent
• May have to meet clients to understand their requirements

• Ability to work for long hours

Education and qualification

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
