Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer Intern.
Key responsibilities: Ensure that the design is conducted in accordance with quality assurance requirements for safety-related systems, components and, structural systems in accordance with the applicable codes and that the necessary design verification activities are carried out Other duties include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design, development of specifications and performance of detailed engineering Assisting with energy audits and feasibility studies, implementation of energy cost saving measures As part of an engineering team, execute midsize engineering projects, studies, tests, and analyses Conduct operational analysis, make improvement recommendations and conduct retrofit management to assist in the development of products Participating in kick off meetings for projects to identify hardware requirements and the appropriate dependencies in collaboration with a multidisciplinary project team Conduct design reviews the Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA) sessions to identify project risks and develop response plans Liaison and interaction with the various construction contractors including Contribute as a member of a team that provides engineering design and analysis including preparation of design documentation in the area of the mechanical design of retube and field services tooling and tooling upgrades Prepare a broad range of documentation including but not limited to design requirements, technical specifications, assessment documents, performance analysis, design manuals, installation, and commissioning documents
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor Degee in Mechanical Engineering knowledgeable with design, construction and calculations related to complex, composed products have an entrepreneurial, outgoing spirit, broad area of interests and excellent communication skills have the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers and colleagues on various levels Multidisciplinary technical knowledge is considered advantageous Company Overview
