To ensure the quality, compliance, and timely execution of all mechanical works on site, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems. The role involves conducting inspections, reviewing technical documentation, coordinating with contractors and other disciplines, and ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, standards, and local authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Inspection & Quality Control
Conduct site inspections for mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, etc.) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Monitor construction progress, workmanship quality, and adherence to project schedules.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
2. Documentation & Review
Review and comment on mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records of site activities.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
Ensure all works comply with relevant authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Civil Defence, RAK Municipality, etc.).
Coordinate with authorities when required to obtain approvals or clarify regulations.
4. Coordination & Issue Resolution
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve site issues.
Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team when required
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
5-8 years of site experience in mechanical supervision/inspection within consultancy or contracting firms. Successfully completed at least two full construction projects
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of local authority regulations and standards (Dubai Civil Defence, RAK Municipality, etc.). Ability to review technical documentation, shop drawings, and submittals
Soft Skills / Competencies:
Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills
Languages:
English (required); Arabic (advantage)
