Job Description

Required a Mechanical Engineer (1No) with building experience for a construction firm in Sharjah must have valid UAE driving license. He should hold Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with 5 plus years gulf experience.

Review mechanical drawings, designs, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority standards (Sharjah Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.), and international codes.

Supervise on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical systems.

Monitor daily construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and progress.

Ensure proper implementation of method statements and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).

Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to resolve conflicts and avoid rework.

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to streamline project execution.

Attend technical and progress meetings.

Review and approve mechanical material submittals, shop drawings, and equipment selections.

Follow up on procurement, delivery, and storage of mechanical equipment and materials.

Participate in system testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Prepare and review test reports and ensure systems meet functional requirements.

Ensure all mechanical works are executed as per approved drawings and standards.

Conduct inspections and quality checks before consultant/client inspections.

Ensure that mechanical works adhere to site HSE plans.

Report and address any unsafe practices or non-conformities.

Prepare daily site reports, snag lists, and status updates for management and consultants.

Maintain proper records of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
