We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedMechanical Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air conditioning and mechanical systems related to building construction projects, with proven experience managing MEP (AC, Mechanical and Plumbing) works on-site, from design coordination to execution and handover. A solid understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and authority requirements is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage mechanical engineering aspects of construction projects including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and drainage systems.
Review and interpret mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and local regulations.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) to ensure integrated project delivery.
Monitor site progress and supervise installation activities to ensure quality and timely completion of mechanical works.
Prepare and submit technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals to relevant authorities and consultants.
Ensure compliance with UAE construction codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Attend site inspections, testing & commissioning activities, and ensure snag-free project handover.
Resolve technical issues and provide guidance during construction phases.
Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cost estimations, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for mechanical systems.
Liaise with local authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense) for necessary permits and inspections.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
5-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the UAE construction industry.
Proven experience in MEP project execution for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and authority procedures.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and other design and calculation software.
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
