Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Mechanical Engineer
to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in the design, execution, and supervision of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems--especially within the context of fit-out and maintenance works. Bonus points for candidates with a working knowledge of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, review, and coordinate mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting) for fit-out or maintenance works.
Prepare and review shop drawings, load calculations, and BOQs.
Supervise site execution to ensure compliance with design, safety standards, and project timelines.
Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
Assist in procurement by reviewing technical submittals and material approvals.
Conduct site inspections and testing & commissioning of mechanical systems.
Ensure all works comply with local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, etc.).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2-5 years of relevant experience in UAE-based fit-out, construction, or maintenance projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
Familiarity with Dubai regulations and authority approvals.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and MS Office.
Good communication and coordination skills.
UAE driving license is a plus.
