Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design and implementation, with hands-on experience in HAP calculations, FAHU systems, and ventilation design. The role involves coordinating with design and site teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical systems into high-end interior spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and understand project specifications, drawings, and BOQs related to HVAC, FAHU, and ventilation systems. Conduct

HAP (Hourly Analysis Program)

calculations to determine HVAC loads and equipment sizing. Design and supervise the installation of

HVAC systems

including ductwork, chilled water systems, and controls. Coordinate the installation and integration of

FAHU (Fresh Air Handling Units)

and ensure compliance with project requirements. Ensure proper ventilation design, considering airflow, fresh air intake, and exhaust systems. Work closely with architects, interior designers, and other MEP engineers to ensure services are coordinated. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met. Review material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings for mechanical services. Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems. Ensure all mechanical work complies with local codes and regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the fit-out industry. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, FAHU, ventilation, and HAP software. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office. Familiarity with local MEP regulations and authority approvals (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA, etc.). Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
