We are seeking a highly qualified

Mechanical Engineer

with 5 to 8 years of experience specializing in

HVAC Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB)

. The ideal candidate must possess a valid

NEBB certification

and a deep understanding of HVAC systems applicable to Qatar standard and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise to ensure HVAC systems operate at optimal performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort standards in line with Qatar's building codes and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute

Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB)

for HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with NEBB standards and Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS). Review and interpret HVAC design drawings, project specifications, and technical documents. Perform airflow and hydronic system balancing for air handling units (AHUs), variable air volume (VAV) boxes, diffusers, pumps, and coils. Prepare comprehensive and accurate TAB reports for submission and project closeout. Collaborate closely with project managers, design consultants, contractors, and commissioning teams. Conduct site inspections and identify discrepancies or system inefficiencies; propose corrective measures. Ensure all TAB work adheres to Qatar Civil Defence, Qatar Green Building Council guidelines, and other applicable regulations. Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and TAB technicians. Maintain high safety standards in compliance with Qatar occupational health and safety regulations. Support commissioning and handover activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university. Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in HVAC TAB with projects in Qatar or GCC region preferred.

NEBB certification in TAB

is mandatory. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, air and water balancing techniques, and performance testing. Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS 2014 or latest edition) and local authority requirements. Experience using TAB instruments such as flow hoods, manometers, anemometers, and balancing valves. Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, control schematics, and technical specifications. Strong communication skills with fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and report writing capability. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to work on-site and travel within Qatar as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with LEED, GSAS (Global Sustainability Assessment System), or other sustainability certification schemes. Prior involvement with commissioning and handover processes. Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and integration with HVAC systems.
