Job Description

PURPOSE:

Leads and supervises the mechanical maintenance activities in the plant in compliance with project and client requirements.

ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES

:

Preventive and corrective maintenance of sewage treatment plant and pumping station mechanical equipment.

Review and request the spare parts and services required for the maintenance.

Update the maintenance details in client maintenance software.

Attend the inspection and client audits.

Technical evaluations of spare parts and services.

Prepare the necessary budget.

Prepare and review of Method statement and risk assessment.

Prepare and review of maintenance checklist by referring to equipment manuals.

Snag generation of new assets as required by the client.

Coordinate with other departments for shutdown and job execution.

Examine the reasons for machine failure and locate the exact problem. Suggest remedial measures and give repair instructions.

May have to oversee and manage assigned staff functions and ensure that job done is taking place as per the set standards and procedures.

Reporting incidents that present or have the potential to represent a loss to the organization. These include occupational injuries / illness, security, environmental incidents and product and severe non-conformances, to prevent recurrences.

Carry out other tasks assigned.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience in the maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.

Competencies:

Good knowledge of machines and tools that they will have to deal with daily. Also, must be familiar with tools that they may have to use occasionally.

Problem Solving: Looks objectively at every side of an idea or situation to ensure that all outcomes are thoroughly assessed before deciding on an appropriate course of action.

Initiative: can work alone to get results in an effective way. Understands and seeks to minimize waste in resources and processes.

Planning, and Conceptual Analysis - Individuals who have highly creative, analytical minds.

Project management and supervision skills

Education:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar experience

Others:

UPDA Certified Engineer / to obtain this year

Language:

English (written and verbal communication)
