We are looking for a qualified
Mechanical Engineer
to join our consultant supervision team in Qatar. The role focuses on supervising and monitoring mechanical works forbuilding projects
such as commercial, residential, high-rise, and mixed-use developments. The candidate will ensure compliance with design intent, project specifications, QCS/QCDD regulations, Ashghal/Kahramaa requirements, and international standardsNote: Candidates must be available in Qatar with transferable visa and able to join immediately.
Responsibilities:
Review and approve
shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
for mechanical works. Supervise on-site installation, testing, and commissioning ofHVAC, plumbing & drainage, firefighting, and pumping systems
. Ensure compliance withQatar Construction Specifications (QCS), QCDD, Ashghal, and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, BS, ASME, CIBSE)
. Conduct daily inspections of mechanical works to ensure quality, safety, and conformity to design. Monitor contractors' progress and workmanship, raisingNCRs
where deviations are identified. Coordinate with electrical, civil, and architectural teams to resolve site coordination issues. Witness and verifytesting & commissioning
of all mechanical systems (chillers, pumps, firefighting, smoke management, water supply, drainage). Attend technical and progress meetings with the client and contractors. Prepare supervision reports, snag lists, and assist in project handoverQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in
Mechanical Engineering
. Minimum10 years' experience
, with at least5 years in consultant supervision of building projects in Qatar/GCC
.UPDA/MMUP Grade A/B certification
(mandatory for consultant roles in Qatar) Strong English communication and report-writing skills (Arabic a plus).Available in Qatar with NOC/transferable visa and able to join immediately.
