Urgent Requirement for BAHRAIN Mechanical Technician Engineer

Scope of work

To perform all operations associated with Cast House Mechanical Maintenance as per attached skill matrix covering all jobs for which employee are certified competent through assessment. The employee can be assigned in any Cast House in shifts or day work and the position holder must ensure to work in a safe and efficient manner as per the instruction of the supervisor. The individual job holder work independently and no staff reports to him/her. Accountable for own safety and safety accountability as applicable. Accountable for implementation of policies and procedures as applicable. Accountable for development of self, peers and team through knowledge & experience sharing. Achieves a high standard of housekeeping. Achieve Maintenance targets as assigned. Achieve targets and complete tasks as assigned. Accountable to do all the jobs as per Skill Matrix for which position holder is assessed and competent.

Main responsibility of the job holder

Basic Computer Literacy English Literacy communication, reading, writing Basic Mathematics Skills, Basic Engineering Skills (Read Drawings, Catalogues, P&I Drawings, Loop drgs.) Delivering Presentations

Effective Handling Of Planned Maintenance Activities (PMs, Breakdowns & Shutdowns) Skill Of Using Various Measuring Tools Such As Vernier, Dial Gauges, Thread Gauges, Outside & Inside Micrometres & Callipers Removing & Replacing Mechanical Components / Equipment PM And Regular Repairs Of OHC & Hoists Safe Usage Of Tools & Lifting Tackles Knowledge about Bearing And Lubrication Bearing Identification & Lubrication Basic Concept Belt Drives And Key Fittings Maintenance / Repair/ Replacement Of Reduction Gear Boxes Welding And Cutting knowledge Knowledge about PTW / Hotwork / Isolation LOTO Equipment Alignment Skills about different type of couplings Skills On Testing, Inspecting, And Adjustments Of Mechanical/ Hydraulic/ Pneumatic Equipment's Conducting Safety Audits / 5 Min Talks & Making Safety Observations Identification Of Spare Parts, Handling Material. Knowledge about MSDS Effective Feedback (Writing Report On Problems, Remedies & Technical Reports) Diagnostic Skills Of Breakdown & Trouble Shooting Of Equipment Understanding Maintenance Planning Schedules & Activities Fabrication knowledge On Site Measurement & Drafting Skill Like Preparation Of Sketches, etc... Reading Hydraulic Circuits Of Furnaces, VDC, other related equipment's of Cast House Maintenance & Troubleshooting Of Pneumatic & Hydraulic System Maintenance. & Troubleshooting Of Pumps Diagnosis Skills Of Breakdowns & Troubleshooting Of Pneumatic & Hydraulic System Diagnostic Skills Of Breakdowns & Troubleshooting Of Mechanical Equipment Maintenance & Trouble Shooting Of Furnace, casting Over Head Cranes & Hoists Understanding Department Emergency Plan & Ability To Deal With Emergencies Recommend Necessary Changes In PM Schedules Recommend Improvements In Enhancing Equipment Availability & Reliability Capable Of Identifying Alternate Spares & Making Necessary Modifications In The Plant Knowledge & Application Of Mechanical Engineering Principles and Standards.
