Key Responsibilities

• Deliver full mechanical concept and detailed design for air conditioning, ventilation, smoke control, fire protection, LPG storage and distribution, drainage, and water systems for residential and mixed-use projects
• Prepare accurate and complete mechanical design documents from concept design through construction documents within tight schedules
• Calculate building cooling loads using authority-approved software and ensure compliance with local requirements
• Design LPG systems in line with Dubai Civil Defense approval requirements
• Design firefighting systems in accordance with local fire codes and NFPA standards
• Coordinate closely with architects and engineers to integrate mechanical services with minimal impact on building efficiency
• Manage CAD technical specialists by providing clear technical instructions and ensuring compliance with Azizi Developments standards
• Support site engineers with technical guidance related to mechanical systems during construction
• Report design progress to Project Managers and ensure timely delivery of mechanical design packages
• Coordinate with submittal engineers to ensure documents meet authority requirements and maintain proper records
• Liaise with mechanical equipment suppliers to ensure selected equipment meets design intent and performance criteria
• Present designs to the MEP Manager and incorporate feedback as required

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7 to 12 years of professional experience in mechanical design
• Proven experience in residential developments and commercial buildings
• Background working with consultancy or MEP organizations
• Strong knowledge of UAE mechanical codes, standards, and authority approval processes
• Ability to manage design coordination and support construction teams effectively

Software and Technical Skills

• Proficiency in HAP, duct design and pipe design software
• Experience with equipment selection software
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
