Job Description

We need an MEP Engineer who actually understands swimming pool and water-feature systems, not someone who thinks a pump room is a storage closet. Minimum

2-3 years of UAE/GCC experience

in hydraulic, electrical, and control systems specific to pools, water features, and dry deck installations.

You'll handle design reviews, site supervision, testing/commissioning, approvals, and coordination with consultants and main contractors. Bonus points if you don't freak out when someone mentions DMX or fountain sequencing.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Design & Engineering

Review and prepare MEP shop drawings, hydraulic schematics, pump room layouts, control diagrams, and electrical load schedules. Size pumps, filters, pipework, valves, dosing systems, UV, heaters, DMX lights, controllers, and manifolds. Ensure compliance with DMT, Aldar, UPC, ADDC, and all relevant standards. Validate civil build-ups and coordination with structural drawings where required.

2. Site Execution & Supervision

Oversee installation of all MEP works for swimming pools, water features, and dry deck systems. Monitor routing of UPVC, PPR, HDPE, electrical conduits, control cables, and earthing. Verify installation quality before inspections (MIR, WIR, ITP stages). Support civil team in sequencing waterproofing, pipe sleeves, backfilling, and deck drains.

3. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Handle pressure tests, flushing, chlorination, flow balancing, and pump commissioning. Program and troubleshoot DMX drivers, LED lights, control panels, synchronisation, and fountain effects. Prepare as-builts, O&M manuals, close-out documentation, and snag lists. Lead final inspections with consultant and client.

4. Coordination & Documentation

Attend coordination meetings with consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Prepare reports, method statements, RFIs, technical submittals, and approval documents. Maintain material logs, equipment schedules, and procurement follow-ups.

5. Procurement & Material Management

Verify technical compliance for pumps, filters, manifolds, fittings, cable types, lighting, and control components. Coordinate with suppliers like Oase, Aqua Middle East, Syncronorm, etc., without letting them boss you around. Highlight long-lead items early to avoid project delays.

Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years experience

in MEP works for pools/water features/dry deck. Strong understanding of hydraulics, flow rates, pressure losses, pump curves, electrical loads, and control logic. Experience with DMX programming, VFD operation, and lighting controls is a major plus. Ability to read all types of drawings (MEP, civil, structural, landscape). Solid reporting skills and decent English. Good command of site coordination and consultant dealing. UAE driving license preferred.
