Position Summary
The
Mechanical Engineer
will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment used in water and wastewater treatment plants. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on project experience, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants (pumps, piping, valves, tanks, filters, etc.).
Prepare and review technical AUTOCAD drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
Collaborate with process, electrical, and civil engineers to ensure system integration and performance.
Conduct site inspections, equipment testing, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend effective corrective actions.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment procurement and installation.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
1-2 years
of experience in mechanical design, preferably in water or wastewater treatment projects.
