We are a dynamic and growing organization seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role in exciting construction projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
JOB PURPOSE
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all mechanical aspects of our construction projects, with a primary focus on plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all mechanical works are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design & Planning: Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements and local regulations.
• Site Management: Supervise and manage all on-site mechanical installation activities, including plumbing, HVAC, and other related systems.
• Coordination: Act as the primary technical lead for mechanical works, coordinating effectively with clients, consultants, main contractors, and other disciplines (electrical, civil, etc.).
• Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols. Implement quality assurance procedures.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex mechanical engineering challenges that arise during construction.
• Procurement Support: Assist in the preparation of technical submittals, material approvals, and procurement documentation.
• Testing & Commissioning: Lead and witness the testing, balancing, and commissioning of all mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience: 6 to 8 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within the construction industry in the UAE/GCC region.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, sanitaryware, and drainage.
• Strong expertise in HVAC systems design, installation, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards (ASHRAE, IPC, etc.) and local Abu Dhabi regulations (e.g., ADDC, DM).
• Management Skills: Proven ability to manage site activities, lead a team of technicians and supervisors, and drive projects to successful completion.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
