The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing and installation of mechanical systems and equipment. The role involves problem-solving, improving reliability, ensuring safety, and supporting continuous improvement across engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Perform calculations related to stress, load, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and material selection.
Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimations, and risk assessments for new projects.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Work with suppliers and vendors to evaluate mechanical parts and materials.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and material science.
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
Experience with manufacturing processes and mechanical equipment.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and project-management abilities.
Knowledge of duct systems.
